Smucci pet beds by ddkdesigns,llc began some time ago when I harnessed all of my creative talent and began building the beds I had envisioned for so many years. My son, Jamie, summoned his technological expertise with photography and computer to assist, support, and partner with me in this endeavor.

We both share an immense sensitivity towards animals. Almost all of them have been rescued from imminent danger and/or certain death and the appreciative look in their eyes conveys all. We have always had an undying desire to treat our pets with the most joyous comforts since they have always given our family such a sense of love, liberty, and happiness. My son Jamie has Autism, and his desire to love animals for their comfort has always been a main stream in his life. As many people know with some cases of Autism, pets are very well known for their ability to help those with this condition. It seemed only natural for myself to create a sense of true love and passion then in return for our animals. Knowing how important each and every pet has been in both of our lives is a true test of their compasion not just in our home, but others that visit. We realized when this dream began that if DDKDESIGNS was able to create the ultimate relaxation for our animals they would only be happier, and in return even more loving to each and every individual.

We also have been profoundly influenced by the property on which we live, The North 90, a forest of 90 wild and pristine acres filled with wildlife. Spending the last several years in this serene setting has reintroduced simple joys and an appreciation for natural beauty.

This company is not about looking outward to determine what is marketable or might sell, but rather our collective experiences, love, and immeasurable joy we have found in caring for our pets combined with all the natural elements that surround us each day. Our goal with Smucci is to bring each and every animal not just our appreciation of them, but you as well. We understand here how important each and every one of your animals are, and out goal is to refelct that in each piece we personally design and create for you.

Our love for our pets and animals stretches much further than our own home. We truely want you to be able to give your pets what they deserve since they have always given us their heart.
